STA will soon present its aircraft at the Regional Aviation Days this weekend in Košice and at the beginning of September also at the International Aviation Days SIAF2021.

During the past summer months, Slovak Training Academy took part in several beneficial activities – we help to deliver an excessive cargo up to the castle hill with our helicopter. This was a great opportunity to introduce the work of a pilot and to show children our fleet of helicopters. Slovak Training Academy / STA / is a unique training center for helicopter pilots and has been operating at Košice International Airport for 4 years. That is why the Slovak Training Academy systematically work to show the work of a pilot and make it more attractive to the public and participates in several community projects in Košice and its surroundings. At the beginning of July, we helped to transport the repaired engine to Slanec Castle with volunteers from the non-profit organization Let’s Save Slanec Castle, who work to reconstruct and restore this medieval castle. “The castle is already being worked on and the cable car is working. We have already exported lime, cement, scaffolding parts, building stones and water to the castle hill. The help of the helicopter was extremely important for the further progress of the reconstruction, “said the mayor of Slanec, Jozef Bela.

As part of excursions for children, Slovak Training Academy has opened hangar premises at Košice Airport several times, where the training center has a fleet of helicopters, including the legendary UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters. The children inspected the helicopters, received an expert explanation, tried the MD-530 helicopter simulator and then moved on to a tour to the exhibits of the Aviation Museum of the Slovak Technical Museum in Košice. “We are glad that we were given the opportunity to diversify our summer with such an interesting form of excursion as part of the daily summer camps. It is not often that we have helicopters practically to the touch. The work of pilots and mechanics is really interesting for us and for children, “said Denisa Drimáková, director of the Košice Leisure Center.

We also try to bring the public closer to our work in the form of dynamic and static display of fleet. During the Children’s Sports Day in the village of Paňovce on July 17, our UH-60 Blackhawk landed on the local football field. Not only the inhabitants of the village but also the world hockey champions Rastislav Staňa and Ladislav Nagy inspected this beautiful machine with admiration. “Children and parents were thrilled. The opportunity to take pictures with this legendary machine, or to look into its cockpit fulfilled the dreams of many participants. This is also evidenced by the number of photos that the participants of the event added to social networks. I would like to thank STA for supporting the event, “said the organizer of the event Peter Komjáty. The Black Hawk was also admired by the public at the Mokrance Village Days on August 7. “When your helicopter landed, people just didn’t stick to the program anymore and everyone rushed to the helicopter. It is a very interesting attraction for us. It was a huge experience for children but also for their parents. When the children are happy and the parents are happy, “said the mayor of Mokrance, Mária Lacková.

The next event whre STA company will present its aircraft at the Regional Aviation Days in the premises of the Košice Aeroclub on the weekend of August 28 and 29, where it will present spectators with UH-60 Black Hawk and Schweizer helicopters as part of a static display. As part of the flight display, the public will be able to enjoy the pilot equilibrium of professional pilots from STA on the MD-500 helicopter. “We care about the people and the region in which we operate. That is also why we try to get as close as possible to the population and show them how interesting but at the same time responsible and important the work of pilots is, “added Dominik Varga. The company is also the general partner of the International Aviation Days SIAF 2021, so it is almost certain that an interesting program awaits fans of flying on September 4 and 5 at the airport Kuchyňa in Malacky.
